In 2024, Dingwall built a select few basses to show at the 2024 NAMM Show. We were lucky enough to be the recipient of this gorgeous ABII. After the NAMM Show, this bass returned to Dingwall's Custom Shop in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and somehow slipped through the cracks and was overlooked to be shipped to us for quite some time. One day, we get a call from our good buddies at Dingwall informing us that they located the bass. Of course, we said "send that baby on down!", and here it is! This bass is stunning in its sleek simplicity. Finished in Dark Candy Green, this color is very dynamic and alluring. This bass features a Walnut Top, a Flamed Maple Contrast Layer which has been taped off to expose the natural Maple against the Dark Candy Green finish, a semi-hollow Walnut body, a Wenge neck with Wenge fretboard, and a beautiful 12th fret "D" inlay made from Emerald Green Pearloid with a Flame Maple border, Green Luminlay side dots, and another Emerald Green Pearloid with Flame Maple border "D" headstock logo. This bass is loaded with a custom pickup configuration, featuring a P-Tone neck pickup and FD3 pickups in the Middle and Bridge positions. The custom pickup configuration feeds into the highly sought-after Rupert Neve Designs 2-band preamp with Master Tone and Mini Toggles, offering a vast array of tones with the option of Series/Parallel switching per pickup.
