Up for grabs is a great playing and great sounding 1972 Fender Telecaster! This guitar arrived at our store with a faulty 3-way switch and a brass nut, so we replaced the switch with a CRL 3-way switch and replaced the brass nut with a bone nut. The guitar was also missing a couple of string ferrules, so we replaced the ferrules with new Fender Vintage Style Ferrules. When wiring in the new switch, we noticed that the wires for the pickups are a different color than the leads connecting to the pots, so we are assuming that the pickups are not original. However, they sound fantastic and give you the full tonal range you would expect from a classic Telecaster.

The pots and capacitor appear original and function as they should. The body shows typical aging and wear for a guitar that is 53 years old. This guitar has been professionally setup by our in-house tech after replacing the bone nut. The frets look great and have plenty of life left in them. From twangy and spanky to smooth and mellow, this guitar exudes the classic Tele sound. It is currently strung with D'Addario 10-46 strings in standard tuning. This guitar also includes a newer Fender Hardshell Case. This beauty weighs 7lb 8oz (7.5lbs).
