A while back, our good friends at Spector USA gave us a call and were extremely excited about an arrival of Chestnut - a wood previously not offered by Spector USA. For bass guitars, Chestnut has become a tonewood surrounded by lore and legend. So when we got the opportunity to have first pick of the sets they had received, we were elated to snag some beautifully-figured sets for some very special builds.

This particular bass boasts a beautiful quilt figuring with knots throughout. We paired this Music Loft Select Chestnut top with a beautiful Black Walnut body, which we had weight-relieved - Walnut is usually very heavy, so we wanted to make sure that the wonderful pairing of Chestnut and Walnut didn't come at the expense of the player's back and shoulders This bass also features a Roasted Maple neck with an alluring Chocolate Brown stain topped with a Music Loft Select Ziricote fretboard laden with exciting figure and coloring. The matching Chestnut headstock features a Ziricote truss rod cover and a Ziricote Spector logo inlay. To make this bass even more player-focused, we had the body and headstock finished in high gloss, with the neck done in a matte finish for smooth and comfortable playing throughout the neck, and an easy-to-clean and eye-catching gloss for the body. This bass is loaded with the EMG PX/JX set which feeds into Spector's HAZ 9-volt preamp. To round out this monster bass, this bass features Dunlop Flush Mount Strap Locks, Hipshot UltraLite tuners, an aluminum bridge - all shown in black. This bass also includes the Spector TSA hardshell case.
