When putting this build together, we knew we wanted to push the envelope and flex the abilities of the Spector USA Custom Shop, and they delivered in spades! To start with, this bass features a Music Loft Select Ziricote top and back with an Empresswood/Paulownia center core. The Ziricote is all from one piece of wood, and took some very clever planning to get proper bookmatching and proper thicknesses to follow all of the curvatures of the Spector NS body. The 3pc Roasted Maple neck is adorned with a Music Loft Select Macassar Ebony fretboard with a single 12th fret inlay made from Roasted Maple, Luminlay side dot markers, an Ebony headstock overlay with Roasted Maple logo inlay and a Roasted Maple truss rod cover. To round out the full package of this build is a set of EMG 40DCX pickups and the Spector HAZ 18-volt preamp. This bass is also loaded with an aluminum bridge, Hipshot UltraLite tuners and Dunlop Flush Mount Strap Locks.
